At Dulas, we are joining the World Health Organisation (WHO) and partners across the globe to celebrate the collective action that saves millions of lives every year. The message of this year’s campaign is clear: vaccines protect people of all ages against disease, and the ultimate goal is a world where everyone, everywhere, is shielded from vaccine-preventable illnesses. By leveraging its convening power, the WHO works tirelessly with nations to: - **Raise Awareness:** Highlighting the immense value of vaccines in public health. - **Technical Support:** Providing governments with the expert guidance needed to build and sustain high-quality immunisation programs. **Ensuring Equity:** Working to bridge the gap so that life-saving medicine reaches even the most remote populations. Vaccinating children at the Zion Clinic, Uganda in April 2026 **The Cold Chain: Where Dulas Makes a Difference** A vaccine is only effective if it remains potent. For many life-saving vaccines, this requires a strict “Cold Chain” a temperature-controlled supply chain that must maintain a range between **2 °C and 8 °C**. In regions with unreliable electricity or no grid access at all, maintaining this temperature is a significant challenge. This is where Dulas steps in. **Impact by the Numbers** Our solar-powered refrigerators are designed to withstand the harshest environments, providing a reliable haven for medicine where traditional power fails. - **80+ Countries:** We have delivered our specialised solar-powered refrigerators to over 80 countries worldwide. - **Thousands of Lives:** These units have directly enabled the vaccination of thousands of children against diseases that are entirely preventable. - **Zero Emissions:** By utilising solar energy, we provide a sustainable solution for healthcare infrastructure. **Looking Forward** As we celebrate World Immunisation Week, we are reminded that our work is part of a much larger tapestry.
