# Cooling the world’s crisis zones: A record start to 2026

The first weeks of 2026 have marked a definitive turning point for our global mission. As we navigate a landscape of increasing climate volatility and complex humanitarian needs, the demand for reliable, off-grid medical cooling has reached an all-time high. We are proud to announce a record-breaking start to the year with over 500 solar-powered refrigerators on order for **Yemen**alone, alongside significant deployments for **Algeria**and critical shipments destined for **Sudan, Chad, Ethiopia, Mali, Angola, and Lebanon.** These units represent more than just hardware, they are the backbone of a reinforced global cold chain that will protect millions of life-saving vaccine doses throughout the coming year.

**Yemen: Building Resilience in a Decade of Conflict**

Our deep commitment to Yemen is rooted in a long history of working alongside International NGO’s to navigate one of the world’s most challenging environments. After more than a decade of conflict, the country’s infrastructure remains incredibly fragile and according to the latest **WHO Health Emergency Appeal**, only about 60% of health facilities in Yemen are currently fully functional, with many of those struggling with near-constant power outages.

In a region where the traditional power grid is often non-existent, solar energy isn’t just a “green” alternative, it is the only dependable solution for survival. By securing a number of units for delivery in 2026, we are helping to build long-term resilience into the Yemeni healthcare system. These fridges allow clinics to move away from the uncertainty of expensive, hard-to-source fuel for generators and toward a self-sustaining model that keeps vaccines at the precise temperatures required, even in the most remote or embattled districts.

**A Global Surge in Sustainable Healthcare**

While Yemen will be a primary focus for our 2026 efforts, the scale of our current operations demonstrates that the need for sustainable cooling is a global priority.

- **Algeria:** With over 100 units ordered, we are helping to modernise regional health centres, ensuring they are equipped for future immunisation programmes.
- **The Sahel & East Africa:** In **Sudan, Chad, and Ethiopia**, our fridges are arriving at a critical moment. The intersection of conflict and displacement has placed immense pressure on local health systems; our technology ensures that immunisation remains a constant.
- **Expanding the Reach:** From the mountainous regions of **Lebanon** to the rural provinces of **Angola and Mali**, these deployments are closing the gap in health equity, ensuring that geography is no longer a barrier to basic healthcare.

**Looking Ahead to a Stronger 2026**

The momentum we’ve seen in these first few months is a testament to the trust our partners place in our technology and our history of delivery. As hundreds of units begin their journey to the front lines of global health, we remain focused on the goal: ensuring that every child, regardless of where they live or the challenges their country faces, has access to a safe and effective vaccine.
