For example, earlier this year Dulas donated a VC150SDD Solar Direct Drive combined refrigerator/freezer to the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health which has now being installed at a remote health facility in Nicaragua’s mountainous northern region by our in-country partner, Arttico. Our in-country partners have indispensable local knowledge and we couldn’t do what we do without them. Intermittent power supply in remote regions means that a solar-powered cold chain is often essential – our partners go above and beyond to deliver and install our life-saving vaccine refrigerators in health centres within these regions.
