We have worked closely with Polestar for nearly twenty years to deliver refrigeration to primary healthcare facilities across the developing nations. In 2016, Dulas bought a 50% stake in the plant to strengthen our relationship and to continually improve our portfolio of products. Dulas and Polestar’s history has been a great success story, and our recent technological advances include our bestselling range of [solar direct drive](https://www.dulassolar.org/products/direct-drive-refrigerators/) (SDD) refrigerators. These ground-breaking appliances operate without batteries, enabling remote communities to avoid the logistical difficulty of replacing them, which ultimately saves more lives. This acquisition will benefit the international community who depend on our products for essential healthcare, and it will also contribute a significant sum to the local Welsh and English economies, as jobs in Machynlleth and Bognor will be secured.
