Dulas’s remote power system, DuraSource, is a highly reliable and durable power supply designed to withstand the toughest of conditions, keeping your equipment up and running whatever the weather, whilst providing important peace of mind to the end user. For several years, DuraSource has been the power supply behind some of the UK’s largest wind monitoring projects, supplying critical loads in the most remote locations. However, it can also be used in a range of wider applications, including but not exclusively: - Environmental Monitoring - LiDAR and SoDAR Installations - Data Loggers and Telemetry - Security / Temporary CCTV - Lighting - Rural Internet - Remote Actuators - Rail Crossings A durable power source is vital for projects that require consistent, reliable power, and traditional generators are not always fit for purpose. DuraSource is built to withstand weather conditions of all kinds, including temperatures of – 20°C to + 40°C, high winds, and heavy rain. Combining solar, wind (where appropriate) and batteries with methanol-powered fuel cells also reduces the required frequency of refuelling. This hybrid approach not only means improved efficiency, but also reduced costs and improved safety for outdoor workers, as they are spending less time in difficult and remote locations.
