As 2024 draws to a close, we’re proud to look back on a year filled with growth, achievements, and impactful contributions to our industries. From attending memorable events to earning prestigious awards, here are some highlights that made this year unforgettable.
A year of events
Throughout 2024, Dulas has been at the heart of industry gatherings. At the BHA Annual Conference, we engaged with leading voices in the hydro sector to discuss sustainable energy solutions. Our team also attended Future Energy Wales, and the RenewableUK Onshore Wind Conference, where we shared our expertise in renewable energy innovation.
At the Pharmacy Show, we highlighted our newly released Dulas Connected range, while All-Energy in Glasgow provided an excellent platform to explore collaboration in clean energy. Closer to home, we were delighted to take part in the Explore Export Wales event, showcasing how Welsh businesses can thrive on the global stage.
Ruth Chapman’s impactful presence
Our Executive Managing Director, Ruth Chapman, played a prominent role in shaping industry conversations this year. Ruth contributed to meaningful discussions on sustainability and corporate responsibility as a board member at the UN Global Compact Network UK Summit.
Her leadership extended to Downing Street, where she joined SMEs for a roundtable meeting to discuss opportunities and barriers to exporting. Earlier in the year, Ruth represented Dulas and British innovation at Arab Health in Dubai, attending as a UK Board of Trade representative. More recently, Ruth also made headlines in The Times, speaking about all things co-operative.
Awards and accolades
This year also saw Dulas recognised with two prestigious awards. Our recognition as “Highly Commended” by the ‘Made in the UK, Sold to the World Awards’ highlighted our success in exporting British expertise to global markets, while the SME Exporter of the Year award at the Wales Business Awards celebrated our contribution to Wales’ export excellence and economic growth.
