Project Overview

Dulas recently worked with its in-country partner SunInTown to deliver 30 x VC150SDD combined Vaccine Refrigerators with Ice-Pack Freezer to a number of health centres across India.

In order to ensure effective vaccination programmes, vaccines must be transported and stored within the correct temperature range of +2°C to +8°C and with an extended ambient operating temperature range of +5°C to +43°C, the VC150SDD provides stand-alone reliable vaccine storage, independent of grid power.

With a vaccine storage capacity of 102 litres and a 43L freezer, the VC150SDD is the perfect solution for larger health facilities conducting outreach programmes.

Working with our local partners enabled us to overcome logistical challenges which ensured the equipment could be delivered to the last mile

Implementation

Delivery and Installation was managed by our in-country partner SunInTown and involved navigating challenging roads during the monsoon season where landslides and deep mud made many roads almost impassable. Working with our partner we were able to overcome any logistical issues due to their local knowledge and experience.

At Dulas, we’re committed not only to supplying vital cold chain equipment but also to ensuring that necessary training is provided to support the project.

The cold chain equipment was successfully delivered and installed at the designated health centres and training was provided to local health centre staff to ensure they will be correctly operated and maintained into the future.
