We are Dulas
The pioneers of renewable energy solutions, including solar powered off-grid vaccine storage, we have remained at the vanguard of the industry for over 40 years, and our products and services improve lives, help to combat climate change and support vital immunisation programmes globally.
The health of people and our planet have long been at the heart of our purpose here at Dulas. Now, following a series of exciting acquisitions and with innovative product launches on the horizon, we’re bringing these same values, along with our time-earned product and manufacturing expertise, to benefit wider sectors.
To futureproof this journey of expansion, stay true to our vision, and provide clarity for our customers, we have realigned our brand, developing two clear Dulas sub-divisions:
- Dulas Life Sciences encapsulates our on and off-grid vaccine storage products, cooled incubators and a soon-to-be released refrigeration range for the medical and scientific sectors.
- Dulas Renewables covers our hydro, wind monitoring and consultancy division.
Whilst offering clearly defined products and services to distinct markets, both divisions are powered by our dedication to people, purpose and planet, with the new branding designed to reflect these deep values, which have underscored our work for the last four decades.
About the dawn of Dulas’s new era
Inside the acquisitions
Making up Dulas’s new life sciences offering, first of our acquisitions was Polestar: an OEM manufacturer which has produced refrigeration cabinets for leading global brands in both the professional and domestic markets. For many years, Polestar produced vaccine storage appliances for us here at Dulas, as well as cooled incubator appliances for LMS, and have in development a range of medical refrigeration solutions for the pharmacy and laboratory markets.
Second in the duo is the aforementioned LMS, a UK manufacturer of temperature controlled cooled incubator cabinets, designing bespoke solutions for the bio-scientific market. Its incubators are used the world over for a range of needs from tissue culture to fruit fly culture, and from enzyme testing to the storage of seeds.
A quiet giant, LMS’s impact has been understated; the company has been providing powerful products for almost 60 years. Known amongst its customers for quality and products that stand the test of time, the alignment with Dulas offered ideal synergy.
After a longstanding relationship with LMS, with Polestar and Dulas manufacturing a large part of its products, it made sense to bring in the company as part of the Dulas family’s life sciences division. We’re really excited to bring the best of the rest of our business to LMS customers, which, for them, means access to wider technical expertise, commitment to deeper product development and innovation, along with more widely available customer assistance. They will also benefit from access to a fleet of engineers across the country who can offer seamless inbound support.
Run as a cooperative, Dulas’s acquisitions and rebrand were voted for by our members as a whole. The evolution represents an exciting time for Dulas that its members – many of whom have been a part of the Dulas journey for decades – are rightly proud of.
Launching to the medical sector
This pair of acquisitions have also paved the way to Dulas’s upcoming launch into the pharmacy and laboratory market, as we turn our combined expertise and years of experience to this sector.
Set to be unveiled at the Pharmacy Show in October, Dulas’s new range of refrigerators will bring to market a proposition that’s been the behind-the-scenes secret of many recognised brands in the medical sector as far back as the 1980s.
Now, this sector is able to source products with a focus on trust, sustainability, reliability and quality, straight from the manufacturer and made here in the UK. The full product range, with details on the features and benefits, will be unveiled at the Pharmacy Show on 13th October 2024.
