In January, Dulas attended the Arab Health trade show in Dubai.
Arab Health is the largest medical trade show in the Middle East, with over 105,000 visitors and exhibitors from more than 70 countries. Dulas was part of the Llywodreath Cymru Rhyngwladol / Welsh Government pavilion, where we were able to showcase our latest refrigerators with their integrated temperature monitoring.
We had a busy four days at the show. Catherine McLennan, Commercial Lead at Dulas, gave a talk on the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) stand highlighting how Dulas’s off-grid cold chain solutions are helping the global vaccine relief effort in providing a secure cold chain to last mile communities across the globe.
Catherine also took part on the Latin America and the Caribbean (LATAC) market briefing panel. This informative briefing was held by Department for International Trade (DIT) officers based in LATAC countries, including Brazil, Panama, Columbia and Peru, each providing a introduction to their respective healthcare and life sciences market and hints and tips on doing business in the region. Dulas has worked closely with the DIT and gave a talk on the insights we have gained from our work across the region and the support from DIT expertise, which has been invaluable in reaching new markets.
One of the highlights of the exhibition was being invited to a reception at the British Embassy in Dubai, which was also attended by Andrew Bowie, UK Minister for Exports. This gathering of inspirational leaders and potential partners was a great opportunity for Dulas to network and share ideas with like-minded businesses from within the healthcare industry.
Dulas was also invited to the Wales Diaspora event, hosted by Welsh Government officials at the British Embassy. This celebrated Welsh businesses in Dubai and the Middle East, as well as facilitating connections for Welsh businesses looking to expand in the area.
It was fantastic to be part of the future of global healthcare at Arab Health, and we were very proud to be part of the Welsh Government stand. We met existing clients and new customers from all over the world and exchanged ideas with many experts, including DIT representatives from all regions. We are now looking forward to strengthening those connections and partnerships.
The main event in Dubai may be over, but the event continues online until 2nd March 2023, and we will definitely be back next year (29 January – 1 Feb 2024).
